Lutefisk, lefse and kringla - uffda!
Christmas with Waldorf was amazing! The elegant dinner had so many offerings - not just the traditional Norwegian fare - but so many other selections, it was hard to decide! We had fun getting to know people at our table and sharing our misery of overeating as we sipped coffee.
The concert was beautiful. So many hours have gone into rehearsals and it showed. And those backdrops painted by Kristi Carlson...incredible!
Check out the Picasa photos (to the right). Christmas has officially begun!!

My first Christmas with Waldorf
I started at Waldorf in February, so I have not yet been to the annual Christmas with Waldorf festival - I am so looking forward to it this year! I have learned that the Scandinavian dinner is truly something to see - lots of food, an elegant setting (even an ice sculpture), and some traditional fare such as lutefisk and lefse. The concert itself sounds fabulous! There will be a huge, handpainted scene as the backdrop (Kristi Carlson does this every year).
I'll blog later on my experience. Oh - and if you want to go, get your tickets today (see the link on the right).

Want to taste the world?
Hey all, are you familiar with Makemba or Makayabu? Are Pepparkakor or Mandazi regulars at your house? These are dishes from different countries like the Congo, Sweden, and Tanzania and you can gobble them down (and many more) at the Global Food Fest, hosted by the Global Culture Club at Waldorf College. When can you get your hands on these tasty treats you ask? The dinner will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Nov. 21 in the Atrium. Tickets are only $3, and if you want to take out your sweetheart for a unique date, hop on over to the Theatre department's performance, "The Merchant of Venice". You can get combo tickets for the meal and play for $8! What are you waiting for? Buy your tickets today. Stop by the Waldorf College Box Office or call 641-585-8585 to make your reservations.
