New-age musician to perform benefit concert for Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund

Pianist Donovan Johnson, former Waldorf student, will perform a benefit concert of new-age piano music at the college on Friday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Odvin Hagen Recital Hall. The concert is open to the public. Donations will be accepted for the American Red Cross in support of the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.

Johnson is the owner/operator of the Omaha Centre for Piano and is the co-founder of "Prairie Desert Music," a music production company in Omaha, Neb. He has performed nationally and internationally, including the Unity UK annual celebration in London. Johnson has also performed with national recording artist Lalomie Washburn.

Johnson has been composing, arranging, recording and performing in the Omaha area for eleven years. His works include pieces for musical groups, films, and commercials, as well as his own compositions. Samples of his music can be found at www.donovanjohnson.net.
